Something to think about

I heard a guest speaker at church last week make an interesting comment. I'm sure you have heard people talk about vision and how important it is for making progress in whatever it is you want to do.  Vision is about having a clear picture in your mind for having a better tomorrow.   In other words vision is about the future.  The following is what I heard:
"Sight is a function of our eyes.  Vision is a function of the heart."
- Dr. Dale Bronner

For some reason I just can't seem to get that simple comment out of my mind because it makes sense to me. Another way to think about this is: what do you have your heart set on? Education for your kids or grandchildren, a new home, to live debt free, to have 10,000 PV, to be a Master Coordinator, to retire with no financial problems? Have you given thought lately about your future and what you want it to look like down the road?

Keep in mind that everything starts as an idea. When I reflect back to my start in this business it seemed like every week I heard a good idea that was inspiring to me. The more I heard Shaklee leaders teach about this business the more I thought about the kind of future we could have with this opportunity. I met many successful people at meetings I attended and that helped me to believe we also could make it work.

What happened was simple. I started to have a vision in my heart that we could have a large business. I started to think differently and started to make priorities about what I would do to build this business. Clarity of a vision basically helps to clarify priorities. Do you have a vision in your heart about what you really want? Establish your priorities and then follow through with consistent effort.   Think about it!

Enthusiastically,
Gary Burke
