My Shaklee Story- Ashley McDonald

I signed up with Shaklee over two years ago after being completely sold with the research & products -I bought a business kit before ever trying products!

It was slow going at first because I lacked confidence and truthfully I didn’t know how to manage my time. Even with "slow going" we were able to put ALL our Shaklee earnings into a savings and contribute over $6,000 to our down payment for our first home. After some very hard times for my family, including the surgery that left me thinking I could never have children, I gained a lot of weight. Blame depression, giving up or whatever - then one day I woke up, looked in the mirror and felt my rock bottom. I decided in that moment that I was going to do a few things. I was going to USE this Shaklee 180 (which was just launched two months prior) and I was going to get serious with Shaklee. One of two things happened, first - the Shaklee 180 worked!! Despite my fears, I was losing weight and getting into a shape I never thought possible. Two - I was sharing about it and people were listening! My business started to take off as people joined me - merely for sharing my honest to God story. That was my first year in Shaklee.

Now it was real. I knew that this was not a scam. This was real and real things could happen just by opening my mouth! And I was starting to dream – Here are my Shaklee Milestones: 

August 2013 - I went to my first Shaklee conference (as a recently promoted Director) in Nashville where my husband and I were asked to speak about social media – what?? How could we possibly be "Social Media Experts" just by sharing our story?! 
October 2013 - I won the Healthy Competition and was sent to San Francisco for an all expense paid trip including photo shoot & clothes. 
October 2013 - I found out I was pregnant!
November 2013 - we went to Chicago for regionals and told all our Shaklee family that a miracle had happened – we were expecting after being told we couldn’t have children! 
December 2013– Promotion to Senior Directors & we earned our Car Bonus. We went out & bought a 2014 Jeep…something that would fit our growing family. 
March 2014 - Shaklee wanted to hear my story so they sent us to NY - all expense paid AGAIN! 
April 2014– Promotion to Coordinators J
May 2014 - New Directors Conference (any builder can earn this) ANOTHER all expense paid trip in Napa. Full of training & meeting others who shared my dream of living a life that LIT US UP! 
June 2014 – I had Baylor! 
July 2014 - Promotion to coordinator 
August 2014 - our second Shaklee conference and our first time showing off baby Baylor. We were sitting front and center as VIP guests for being TOP TEN EARNERS!
September 2014 – Promotion to Senior Coordinator 
December 2014 - All expense paid trip to Mexico for our hard work as a business - this trip we got to take Baylor. 
January 2015 – Absolute best month in Shaklee hitting our highest volume ever!

 

Overall, I made enough for me to have built a successful private practice (with all the start up fees and no income for over a year – as typical businesses go) AND stay home with my sweet boy for 7 months. Now I have gone back to work since my husband quit his job to build his dream – personal training business. This too would not be possible without the income of Shaklee. And on top of this, we have paid off over $10,000 in debt and paid for an absolutely beautiful wedding. But, of all the magical treatment we have received for merely sharing something we believe in, I was able to have a baby! Shaklee saved my life.

Point blank – this company is one of the best things that has ever happened to me!
