I've been reminded again how vital it is to have new people coming into your business on a regular basis. There are lots of reasons but to put it very simply what I heard at meetings very early in the business still makes sense to me:
What you can do as an individual is limited. What you can do through duplication is unlimited.
The following is a prospecting philosophy:
1. Look for people who want what Shaklee offers and are willing to do what we do.
2. You can't say the wrong thing to the right person and you can't say the right thing to the wrong person.
3. My job is not to convince or persuade to get into Shaklee. My job is to tell the Shaklee story in a very simple manner to as many people as possible.
4. Become the best listener possible. The job is to ask questions and listen. Don't be afraid of the answers.
5. You need a system for meeting people you don't know. Giving in-home presentations is a system to learn.
Enthusiastically,
Gary Burke
