"There's a price to pay if you want to make things better, a price to pay for just leaving things as they are. The highway to success is a toll road. Everything has a price."
Nothing of value ever comes easily. The only way to make progress and accomplish better results is by working hard and sticking with it. It comes back to asking ourselves questions. Do we truly want things to get better? Are we willing to leave things just as they are? I have found that when I want our business to make more progress the one thing I usually have to think about doing is putting in more time doing the work that's needed for growth. Doing more personal sponsoring, having more appointments and giving more presentations, attending and conducting more meetings, etc. In order to do those activities I need to devote more of my time to my business. Most people are very busy but growing our businesses takes time and effort.
What it comes down to is: what is it that I can say "no" to for a season or more to so I have the time to work at growth? One thing that most of us should do is take a look at our calendar of the past couple weeks and ask ourselves a similar question: what can I say "no" to so I can work harder at growing and developing my future?
It's not always easy but we all have 24 hours in a day and we get to choose what we do with that time. Think about it.
Enthusiastically,
Gary Burke
