I did a Goal Achievement seminar in 1986 and I've been going through my notes. The following are ideas about goals:
- Goals are a mechanism for moving forward.
- Personal goals help people to think about the future.
- Goals help to create change. What do I want to change?
- Goals help to define what's important to you.
Reaching goals is not the hard part. The toughest part of setting goals is deciding what you really want. Once you know exactly what you want, it's easy to get committed and to never let up your efforts until you have achieved that goal.
What do you think? Do you know exactly what you want?
Enthusiastically,
Gary Burke
