There has been many books and articles written about goals and goal setting and goal achievement. The experts, whoever they are, obviously think they make a difference but they also say that most people hope and wish for things to be different but that isn't setting goals.
I have read many of those articles and books and have learned from experience that having clear goals make a difference. Well-defined goals become like a magnet because they seem to pull people in a certain direction.
I found the following in a book by one of the experts. I don't recall the name but I do recall being inspired by these thoughts.
Clear Goals Do 4 Things:
1. They define what's important.
2. They give us a clear direction of what to do.
3. They help to focus our efforts and stay on the path.
4. They create excitement.
So, based on those four thoughts, what's important to you? Do you feel you have a clear direction to follow? Where is your focus? Are you excited about what you want to become?
Enthusiastically,
Gary Burke
