Just take a look

I had a conversation today and this person asked me how I got involved in a business like ours. He's never been approached but has heard about network marketing. So I want to share with you how it came about that I not only got involved but got very committed.
 
A friend of mine came to sell us some insurance not long after Faye and I got married. He asked some questions and I told him I had what some would consider a good job but not much of a future. He mentioned to me that he knew a friend who was looking for people but he didn't know much other than that. I asked what his name was so I looked in the phone directory for his number and called him a few days later. I made an appointment to go to his home and he showed me the Shaklee opportunity.
 
It was that simple. I didn't know this guy or what he did. I was searching for a future and basically he showed me a new idea. I went to his home just to take a look at what he might have to offer. Just to take a look. His story was simple and I felt compelled to learn more. I went to meetings and asked questions and met a lot of very nice people and discovered I found something that would literally change our lives.
 
This all happened because I just went to take a look. Once I got started and was learning about getting appointments I learned that if people would just take a look at this company, the products and opportunity, we started to grow. The reason I'm telling you this today is because asking people to just take a look is how I got many appointments. I didn't bat 100% but for me it worked.  Simplicity works.  
 
For those of you who have the GO PRO book by Eric Worre, go to page 56 and 57 and you will see a very simple but powerful question that Mr. Worre says changed his business.
