Have you ever wondered if you can really build this business? When you think about the kind of Shaklee business you want to have, what do you come up with? How about to be debt free? To always have money to do some fun things such as travel? To pay for the education of kids or grandkids? To live stress free? Maybe it's about a title, like Key or Master Coordinator? It's fun to dream about the kind of future we want but the key is getting started, and then to finish what you start.
I found a very thought provoking comment by T.S. Eliot that I suggest you give some serious thought to: "Only those who risk going far can possibly find out how far one can go." Read that a few times and ask yourself some questions. What kind of future do I really want in this business? Am I willing to step up to a line in the sand and really do it? How far do I want to go?
I remember talking to myself all the time about what kind of future I would like to have. I also recall the times when I had doubt. Fighting doubt was a big factor for me in those early years and I'm sure that many of you reading this right now have experienced the same thing. Doubt has a way of stopping people in their tracks and some even give up.
Why not sit down and look at your goals? If you can't find your goals it just means you haven't put them on paper yet. So your first step is to etch your goals in concrete by putting them on paper. You never want to get to the point where you find yourself saying, "I really wish I had ...." Don't be afraid to dream. Yes we do face many risks in this business but that is what it takes. How far can you go?
Enthusiastically,
Gary Burke
