Don't settle for the ordinary

When I look back to when we got started in this business and then think where we are today, I am thankful beyond words.   Faye and I are so fortunate to have been led to this opportunity and at times I wonder what really happened. As I think back it was really quite simple. Once I realized that what Shaklee was offering was true I decided that this is what we were going to do and all I had to do was learn what other successful people did to build their business to the top levels.

That quote says it all for me.  We were willing to do things that for us were unusual - be in sales, talk to people, be patient, lead, work hard, be patient, conduct meetings, learn, and be patient some more, stick with it regardless of what someone might say or do and of course...be patient. We were not willing to settle for the ordinary. We were willing to learn and then do whatever it might take to make it happen.

Things don't just happen. Someone has to step out among the crowd and make it happen. Someone has to be told what's available. Someone has to see a presentation. Someone has to attend a meeting. Someone has to use the products. And someone has a dream. Someone wants more income. Someone has a vision for their future but they don't have the vehicle to get it.

As Dr. Shaklee would say, "These products can't walk or talk. That's your job." You have to become that someone who is willing to step across the line and take a risk and do the unusual. When you do what might be unusual for yourself, you will be challenged but at the same time you will grow and you will find lots of "someones" who also will want what Shaklee offers.
